March 15 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm£19
Join Siobhan Elliot for an evening Sound Bath Relaxation this coming March.
A Sound Bath is a relaxing, meditative immersion in healing sound. Relaxing deeply calms the nervous system and lets your body and mind find their natural balance. You rest on a mat on the floor or on a recliner chair (bring your own) for the duration of the session, and many participants fall asleep.
Please consider whether you’re able to recline or lie comfortably for 50 minutes when booking.
During a Sound Bath Siobhan will typically use a gong, singing bowls, chimes, her voice and other instruments to lead you on a journey through sound.
Participants experience the vibrations and frequencies of the sound inside their body and around them, and it can be a profound feeling – like a sonic massage. There is a period of relaxation at the start of the session, and a few minutes for ‘waking up’ at the end. This may be most relaxed you’ve been for months!
Bring your Yoga/Pilates mat or comfy recliner chair, a blanket, an eye mask and a cushion, and a bottle of water – basically everything you need to be as comfortable as possible during the session.
Please check the guidelines below when booking, and let us know if any of the following are applicable to you, since a Sound Bath may temporarily make your condition feel worse:
-Ear infection or conditions affecting the ears and balance, such as Menieres, tinnitus, labyrinthitis
-Hearing aids (most people prefer to lie furthest away from the gongs and turn down or remove their hearing aids during a Sound Bath)
-A mental health condition
-A pacemaker or other medical device implanted in your body
-Advanced stages of cancer or other serious illness
WHEN NOT TO ATTEND A SOUND BATH
-If you’re pregnant, you should not attend a Sound Bath in your first trimester.
-If you’ve had a bone fracture, please wait 6 weeks before attending a Sound Bath.
-If you’ve taken recreational drugs or consumed alcohol on the day of a Sound Bath, it isn’t advisable to attend the session.
