About the Yoga-Lounge

RELAX. REVIVE. RESTORE.

Tanya-Main-Circle

Hello, My name is Tanya

I am privileged to be the owner of The Yoga-Lounge near Thorpe Green, Egham.  My studio offers small-group and one-to-one classes in the ancient practice of Yoga, and relatively modern practice of Pilates. We also offer relaxation classes as well as retreats and workshops

My belief is that Yoga and Pilates should be taught in a small-group environment where the student can be monitored closely and the principles of both Yoga and Pilates adhered to. This is even more important now due to Covid-19. All our classes have a maximum of 8 students. Our sessions are designed to make everyone feel welcome, have fun and leave with a sense of achievement in what they have done.

The Studio

The Yoga-Lounge was born from a dream to offer people a space to relax, revive and restore. The contemporary studio was purpose-built by my talented and visionary husband, Daniel.

Our studio is set in the garden of our home, within a woodland setting. It offers peace and tranquillity to it's students, away from the stresses and strains of modern living.

My Journey

I have worked in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years, both as a teacher and a studio manager. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience in many types of exercise ranging from Aqua Fit, Body Conditioning, Spinning, Body Pump to Body Balance as well as the day to day running of a studio.

My passion lies in educating those in Yoga and Pilates, where a holistic approach is applied to exercise, health, and well-being. I've been a Yoga Practitioner for 18 years and became a fully qualified Yoga teacher in 2006.  I have been a qualified Pilates teacher since 2010.

The Future

Since opening the Yoga-Lounge our community has thrived.  We are growing steadily into a wonderful group of like minded people.

Each year, since we opened in 2015, we have supported a charity that is dear to one of our members'. We have fund raised throughout that year; running donation classes, hosting coffee morning and socials evenings.

Our timetable reflects the needs of our participants and we are always looking at new and innovative ways to support their well-being.

Due to the private nature of our studio, we are able to listen and reflect our participants needs.

Yoga Poses in a class

Whether you are new to either Yoga or Pilates or have previous experience, there is a class suitable for you at our studio.

Come and share the experience of practicing in a safe, small-group, environment that allows for social distancing and individual attention.

Come and Relax, Revive and Restore at the Yoga Lounge.
